Bókun New Subscription Plan FAQs

This article give you all the answers to your questions about the Bókun Subscription plans, features and benefits, payment options, fees, and more!

 

Why did Bókun change subscription plans?

Bókun understands their customers and what they need to operate and manage their business more efficiently. The new plans are bundled and designed to assist operators of any size build their businesses more cost-effectively and with flexibility, taking into account the stage of growth our customers are at.

For customers signing up to Bókun beginning 19 September 2024, you have the opportunity to choose from one of our new plans that take advantage of the Bókun’s core features, depending on your business’ needs.

  • Online Bookings - Take direct online bookings with your Bókun booking website, booking widget and API, and enjoy low service fees
  • Marketplace - Access thousands of global resellers in the Bókun Marketplace to sell and resell products
  • Users - Create user roles and adjust them to your business needs
  • Viator Submission fees - Your subscription includes Viator Submission fee credits per month (a $29 value per product).
  • OTA connections - Connect with industry leading OTAs (online travel agents) such as Viator, GetYourGuide, Expedia and many more to sell your experiences
  • Booking Website - Create a website that brings your business to life. Start by choosing a pre-made template with easy settings for your business information - no coding skills required.
  • Google Things to do - Bókun’s partnership with Google allows Bókun paid subscribers access to Thing to do feature so they stand out on Google search results to drive bookings to their own website
  • Access to our exclusive App Store - Along with Bókun’s own apps, you can better access third party products to help grow and enhance your business.If you’re not seeing existing Bókun features that your business uses, please contact our support team via chat through the Help Center, and we’ll assist you.

 

What are the new subscription plan options for Bókun, and how do I know which plan is right for my business?

Bókun START, Bókun PLUS and Bókun PREMIUM were created with your business in mind.

  • Bókun START is designed around the needs of a smaller, entrepreneurial business looking to level up their online sales. Bókun START likely suits businesses with less than $40,000 booking revenue per month.

  • Bókun PLUS is recommended for an ambitious business looking for tools to grow sales and manage across channels. Bókun PLUS will likely suit a business with between $40,000 and $140,000 booking revenue per month.

  • Bókun PREMIUM is recommended for a larger and more complex business looking for sophisticated tools and best value prices to manage at scale. Bókun PREMIUM likely suits businesses with over $140,000 booking revenue per month.

 

What are the key features and benefits for each plan?

 

How do I get my Go Live Check & Annual Review calls?

The Go Live Check and Annual Review calls are complimentary services exclusively for Bókun PLUS and Bókun PREMIUM customers. In order to claim the one of the call, you’ll need to have an active PLUS or PREMIUM subscription. Once you have subscribed, you will receive an email to arrange your personal call!

 

What payment methods does Bókun accept?

Bókun accepts Visa, Mastercard, PayPal or debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo.

Can I switch between plans at any time?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade plans whenever you wish. Upgrades will be enabled immediately, and downgrades are processed at the end of each billing cycle.

How will I be charged if I upgrade my plan mid-billing cycle?

If you have paid for your current plan and upgrade to a higher plan mid-cycle, you will only be billed the difference of the upgraded plan.

Will there be a prorated refund or credit note if I downgrade my plan mid-cycle?

If you downgrade your plan mid-billing cycle, Bókun will wait until the end of the cycle to apply the change.

Does Bókun offer a 14-day free trial for the new plans?
Free trials are 14-days are offered for Bókun START, Bókun PLUS and Bókun PREMIUM plans. Your invoice date will be set at the end of the free trial for the selected plan. You can move plans within the trial period, and select the one you want when the trial is over, and you are billed.
I'm currently on a Bókun PRO subscription. What happens if I cancel or downgrade my subscription and want to renew it?

If you cancel or downgrade your Bókun PRO subscription, there is a 15-day grace period where all the features you currently have will be reserved, and you can restore your PRO subscription any time during this grace period.

After 15 days, your account will be downgraded to a FREE subscription, and with any renewal or reactivation you will need to upgrade to one of the new plans.

I have a Bókun PRO subscription right now, and I want to add my new business to it as well, but the new pricing options don’t seem to be a good fit. Can I sign up for PRO as a new business?

As of September 19, 2024, the new pricing plans will be mandatory for all new accounts, unless an account subscribes to FREE.

Will there be changes to Bókun PRO?

Bókun PRO is not changing and will continue to be available to customers who currently pay for it. Customers who discontinue Bókun PRO can upgrade to one of the new plans when they resubscribe.

If I downgrade to a lower plan, will I lose access to features?

Any time you downgrade to a lower plan, you will lose access to the features and benefits, such as legacy pricing, of the upgraded plan.

I only want to connect with Viator. How much will I pay if I do not want to use your online booking engine?​

For a customer that only wants to connect to Viator and only needs a single user account, the FREE plan is a good choice.

I'm currently using Bókun FREE. Will there be changes to FREE?

Current customers whose accounts are on FREE can continue using the plan, including:

  • Offline bookings - Create new bookings, manage your availability and capacity with little to no effort!
  • Connect to Viator - Import and connect your Viator products to manage your availability and bookings all in one place.
  • Reports - Filter and check your reports in real time.

Customers who deactivate their paid subscription can downgrade to FREE and will retain free access to Bókun for Viator or manual bookings.

What is happening to the Enterprise plans?​

There are no changes for Enterprise plans.

What is happening to Bókun LITE?

We recommend Bókun LITE customers migrate to our new Bókun START plan. The LITE plan will remain available for customers who are currently on the plan until January 2025, however, Bókun LITE will not be available to new customers. After January 2025 we will be asking LITE customers to move across to one of the new plans.
